President

Tim Clifford

Tim joined US Security in 2019 and brings over 19 years of experience in project management, engineering design, and operations management. Prior to joining USSS, Tim worked in the heavy equipment and rail industry as a hydraulics specialist, project engineer, engineering and operations manager. Tim obtained his BS in Mechanical Engineering from Auburn University in 2002 as well as an MBA from Auburn University – Montgomery in 2008.

Vice President

Joseph Ames

As Vice President, Joe plays a central role in the strategic and day-to-day operations of the company, supporting projects from initial opportunity through final completion. His responsibilities include estimating, sales & marketing, and project management, allowing him to maintain a consistent focus on delivering value to owners, architects, and construction partners throughout the project lifecycle.

In addition to his operational role, he oversees the company’s accounting functions and financial management, ensuring the long-term stability of the business. His broad involvement across both project delivery and financial oversight helps maintain the high standards of performance and reliability the company has upheld since 1987.

Project Consultant

JOHN AMES

John joined US Security Systems as an Owner in 1998 and brings over 40 years of experience in the detention equipment industry. He began his career in 1980 with DISCO Aluminum Products, a manufacturer of detention windows, and went on to gain extensive field and management experience working with several detention equipment contractors prior to joining US Security Systems.

Over his 25+ years with the company, John has played a key role in the successful completion of hundreds of detention projects, contributing to the company’s reputation for reliability and performance in the industry. His comprehensive understanding of detention systems, combined with decades of hands-on experience, provides valuable insight across all phases of a project.

As Project Consultant, John remains actively engaged with the company’s operations, continuing to manage a key client account while leading sales efforts for major customers. He leverages long-standing relationships and industry knowledge to support business development, strengthen client partnerships, and help ensure projects are executed in alignment with the company’s high standards.

RON CLIFFORD

Ron is a founder of US Security Systems and brings more than 45 years of experience in the detention equipment industry. Prior to co-founding the company, he served as a Project Manager, developing a strong foundation in project execution, coordination, and client relationships within the specialized demands of detention construction.

In the 38+ years since the founding of US Security Systems, Ron has played an integral role in the successful delivery of hundreds of detention projects across the country. His depth of experience and long-standing industry relationships continue to be a valuable asset to the company and its clients.

As Project Consultant, Ron remains actively involved in supporting the team by leveraging his established relationships, providing guidance on project strategy, and helping ensure the company continues to operate with the same consistency, integrity, and standards it was built on. His presence reinforces US Security Systems’ commitment to reliability, experience, and long-term partnerships.

Controller

BRITTANY EILAND

Brittany joined US Security in 2020 and has been a key part of the company’s efficient internal operations. As Controller, she oversees the day-to-day financial management, from job costing and budgeting to cash flow and reporting, helping ensure every project stays on track from both a financial and operational standpoint.

Known for her attention to detail and strong work ethic, Brittany works closely with leadership, project managers, and field teams to support both project success and long-term success. She takes pride in helping the company deliver high-quality work while maintaining the financial discipline that keeps projects—and the business—moving forward.

Project Manager

BLAKE ASHLEY

Blake joined the team in 2026 with a well-rounded background in construction and a passion for seeing projects through from concept to completion. As an Auburn University Building Science graduate, he has spent his career in the commercial construction industry working on a wide range of projects. Most recently, Blake expanded his experience into land development and high-end residential construction, bringing an added layer of versatility and perspective to his work. As a Project Manager, he is known for his hands-on approach, strong communication, and ability to keep projects organized, efficient, and moving forward.

Blake takes pride in building strong relationships with clients, partners, and field teams, helping ensure each project is delivered with the quality and attention to detail the company is known for. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Katie, and their four children.
